CONDITIONS OF ENROLMENT2019 TERM DATES
Dance United School of Dance’s End of Year Showcase will be held in early November at The Doncaster Secondary College (123 Church Road, Doncaster). The End of Year Showcase is a fantastic opportunity for students to perform & show off all their hard work from throughout the year. There will be a compulsory Showcase Rehearsal at The Doncaster Secondary College the week before. All classes participate in the Showcase excluding Exam & Technique Classes. However, while highly recommended it is not compulsory to participate in the Showcase. It is the parents responsibility to make us aware if their child will not participate at the Showcase upon enrolment.

Fee Policies & Procedures
All term fee invoices will be issued in the 10th week of the previous term.
Failure to pay fees will result in loss of the enrolment position.
All accounts must be settled by the first 3 weeks of term or 10% late fee will be added to your bill.
If unable to pay fees within the above period please contact us to arrange alternative payment.
If any class changes occur please notify us in writing.
At the end of the year each student must re-enrol for the following year. Automatic enrolment will not occur.
Any fees overdue by 3 weeks, the student will be asked to sit and watch class and won’t be able to participate.
An annual registration fee of $30 is to be paid on enrolment to cover admin costs & includes accident insurance.
10% Discount available to families with 3 or more children enrolled.
Refund Policies & Procedure
Prior to commencement Dance United will refund all payments made by the student if the class is cancelled.
After commencement of class no refund of fees will be given.
In some cases of illness or injury, make up classes can be organized but they must be within the same term and only when positions are available.
If changing classes during a term a letter must be written stating what class you are leaving and what class you will be starting (depending on availability).
It is the parents’ and students’ responsibility to read the newsletters each term.
Injury/Medical Condition policies & Procedure
It is the student’s/parent’s responsibility to notify their teacher in the event of injury/medical condition, prior to class.
The first aid box is available to every student through their teacher. Due to government regulation we are unable to provide anyone with Panadol or equivalent medication.
Costume Policies & Procedures
Costume deposits will be required for each class if participating in the end of year concert. If a student fails to pay the required costume deposit, no costume will be provided. No refunds will be given for costume deposits.
We have a dress maker to make all costumes. If you are wanting to make your own costume this can be arranged. Please note a $15.00 fee will be incurred for the making of the pattern/s.
Concert Policies & Procedures
It is not compulsory for a student to be involved in the annual performances, however it is preferred.
If a student is away for any specific amount of time it is the teacher’s decision whether or not they will be included in the end of year routine/s. Teachers decision is final.
It is compulsory to attend the dress rehearsal/s for the end of year performance.
Class Attire Policies & Procedures
All students must be appropriately dressed for class, with correct footwear.
All students must be appropriately groomed for class, with their hair tied back securely. Students must have their hair in a bun with hair net and pins for every ballet class (every age group), no exceptions. Please be aware that no jazz clothing will be worn in any ballet class, no exceptions.
Any student inappropriately dressed or groomed will not be able to participate in class activities.
Please notify by phone, text, messenger or email if your child will be absent. It is also the parents responsibility to ensure students are punctual. Classes must be paid for, whether your child attends or not. If you go on holiday’s or students miss classes due to other personal circumstances, fees need to be paid in full to guarantee your child’s place in class. Students need to be supervised by their parents before and after class. Teacher supervision extends only to students in class.
Dance United School of Dance follows the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) in Classical Ballet. Exam classes encourage correct technique & strength by following the syllabus and understanding the progressions through each grade. Students do not need to participate in exams to move up to the next grade.
Photos and videos taken by Dance United School of Dance may be used on the website and any other advertising materials. There will be no payment for their use.
Dancing is a physical activity and there is a risk of injury involved. Dance United School of Dance will not be responsible in such case. This applies to all styles and classes offered at Dance United School of Dance. It is also understood that to provide dance tuition it is necessary for dance teachers to guide students’ movement, which may require physical contact.
